THE
WAY OF SALVATION
A-We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly and only by the grace of God through faith in
the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; (Eph 2:5,8; I John
4:10; John 3:16; John 1:1-14) B-
that saved sinners are sustained and kept by the power of God through the shed blood of Christ and intercessory work of Christ on our behalf at the right hand of God; (Phil 2:6-8; Heb 2:9,14;
Isa 42:21; Isa 53:4,5; Matt 20:28; Rom 4:25; Heb 1:3-8; Col 3:1) C-and that anyone who is truly saved is
eternally saved and can never be lost. (Heb 7:25,26;
John 10:27-30).
A- The way of salvation
God loves us John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave
We are sinners Rom 3:23 For all have sinned
We are dead in sin Rom 6:23 The wages of sin is death (Eph 2:1 were dead)
Christ died for sinners Rom 5:8 While we were yet sinners Christ died for us
Saved by faith in Jesus John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith
B- Kept by the power of God
By the shed blood of Christ Isaiah 53:4,5 “wounded for our transgressions”
Matt 20:28 “give his life as a ransom for many”
By the resurrection of Christ Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised
again for our justification
By the sealing of the Spirit Eph 1:13 After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise
By Christ’s Intercession
At God’s right hand Heb 1:3 When he had by himself purged our sins, sat down
on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (see Heb 10:12)
Intercession Made Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the
uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to
make intercession for them.
Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died,
yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us.
C- Never Lost Again
In His hands John 10:28-30 And I give unto them eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of
my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
